We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers aged 18+ to be part of our growing volunteer team. If you are interested in supporting our creative community, meeting new people, gaining work experience or learning new skills, then we would love to hear from you!
We offer a variety of volunteering opportunities including helping at our events, supporting our Learn team, or collaborating with our Marketing & Communications team.
As a Photography Foundation Volunteer, you can explore different types of volunteering and build experience across our activities. We always provide the relevant information when opportunities are shared, so you can choose the opportunities that are right for you.

Our volunteers support the smooth running of our public events and help create a warm and welcoming environment.
Your tasks may include:
- Setting up and re-setting our studio space
- Welcoming guests, speakers, and attendees
- Supporting with the event delivery
- Gathering audience feedback
Typical hours: Thursday evenings, with occasional Saturday morning shifts.

Our volunteers support the delivery of our Learning activities, including our Training Programme for 18-25 year olds, and outreach workshops with our community partners.
Your tasks may include:
- Preparing learning materials
- Setting up and re-setting the studio or the external learning space
- Welcoming facilitators and workshop participants
- Supporting workshop activities
- Gathering participant feedback
Typical hours: Wednesday daytime (morning & afternoon shifts), with occasional weekday outreach workshops.

Our volunteers support the Foundation's digital presence and help document and share our activities and impact.
Your tasks may include:
- Photographing or filming events and activities
- Creating social media content and digital assets
- Supporting video creation
- Assisting with other digital content and communication
Typical hours: Thursday evenings, with occasional shifts during office hours and Saturday mornings.
